Cherry blossom illumination at Myoken Mountain.
At Myoken Mountain, which is 30 meters above sea level, lanterns are lit during the cherry blossom viewing period, allowing visitors to enjoy the cherry blossoms at night.

Takegashima Shrine festival. May.
It is the earliest summer festival in the prefecture, and is famous for the rampaging mikoshi that goes into the sea.

Hahagawa firefly festival. Jun.
During the festival, the fantastic light of Genji fireflies can be seen from Takase-boat, and night stalls will be set up only on the first day of the festival.

Inokami Shrine festival. Jul.
In the river, a raging portable shrine is carried, local youths set up stalls, and rice cakes are thrown.

Todoroki summer festival. Jul.【To Be Determined】
This is a rare festival in which a portable shrine is carried from a temple (Ryuouji).

Shishikui Gion festival. Jul.
Yoimiya(eve of a festival) has night stalls and fireworks. At the Honmiya(main festival), traditional entertainment, portable shrines, and four Danjiri parade around town.

Ozuna summer festival. Jun.
Ozuna beach is known for its good water quality.

Asakawa Port festival. Aug.
The festival is held on August 1 every year and is filled with fireworks, night stalls, and folk dancing and Awa Odori(Awa dancing).

Shishikui Port festival. Aug.
The festival will be filled with a parade of fishing boats, night stalls, fireworks, Awa Odori dancing, and more.

Yube of Awa dance and folk dance. Aug.【Scheduled to be held in mid-August】
The Awa Odori competition and folk dances by famous ren in Kaifu-gun attract a large number of spectators.

Yoimiya(eve of a festival) has night stalls, Honmiya(main festival) has traditional performing arts at the shrine, and Omikoshi (portable shrine) and Danjiri (floats) parade around town.

Kaiyo Ise Ebi (Spiny Lobster) Fair Beginning in November
It is a very advantageous plan for a limited time where you can enjoy seasonal spiny lobster.

In mid-September, spiny lobster fishing season will be opened, and these seasonal lobsters will be available for sale.

Minatobashira Shrine Dedication Akachan-dohyo-iri. Oct.
A cute baby wears a mawashi and enters the sumo ring.

Ozato Hachiman Shrine Autumn Festival & Women’s Danjiri Oct.【Scheduled to be held on October 19-20, 2024】
The day before the festival, 1,300 fireworks will decorate the night sky on the banks of the Kaifu River.

Kaiyo Town Commerce and Industry Festival. Nov.
Agriculture, forestry, fisheries, commerce, and industry in Kaiyo Town have set up stalls.

Todoroki Autumn Festival Sunday, Nov.
In this event, the mikoshi (portable shrine) runs down the steep stone steps just outside the shrine and enters the waterfall basin with its bearers to pray for health, safety, and peace.
